Curriculum
Over the last year, we have developed our curriculum to meet the national curriculum's expectations, providing our pupils with a knowledge-rich education to ensure their success as they progress into Key Stage 3. Our curriculum is enriched with events which inspire pupils' curiosity and interest such as 'author events', 'science workshops' and 'sports events'. This enables us to promote the pupils spiritual, moral, social and cultural development very well.
The National Curriculum outlines the statutory objectives for the knowledge, skills, and understanding taught at Southfield Junior School from Year 3 to Year 6, which can be accessed by clicking here.
At Southfield, we offer a broad, balanced, and academically rigorous curriculum for all learners.
We are run in two cycles due to our mixed year groups. Below, you will see an overview of themes for each cycle.
